THE REAL CAUSE OF OUR PROBLEMS.

Nigeria is a great nation, there is no doubt about that. A country with so much resources and natural endowment but the nation has so far failed to live up to its standard. Nigeria is one of the poorest countries in the world with a per capital income of around one thousand US dollars, over 100 million Nigerians live on less than a dollar per day! This is to tell you the extent to which Nigerians are suffering. A country that produces 3 million barrels of crude oil everyday, there are no good roads, the educational system is bad,Nigeria's economy is depleting, the workers are not well paid. All these and some that were not mentioned happen in Nigeria and so many including myself have been very hard on those in government, they have the most blame but its not just them.                                                                                                                                                            @         While searching for the solution to a problem, the first thing to do is find out how it all started which is what I will do now, examine the cause. WE NIGERIANS DO NOT LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Love is very essential in every society that wants to progress but love is  completely missing in Nigeria, every individual is concerned about himself/herself and family only so how on earth do we expect to experience true development with such a spirit. I want to go into few instances where Nigerians have displayed lack of love for others.                                                                                                     @         Fuel subsidy issue caused lot of controversy at the beginning of the year. It was removed suddenly and unjustifiably by the present administration. Immediately the removal of fuel subsidy was announced, traders stopped selling immediately in anticipation of an increase in prices of goods so they can make excess profit, you can call it business but it was a terrible display. Petrol dealers were unfair, they too stopped selling the fuel they had at the same time they refused to buy because the price had risen to N150 per litre, they immediately started to sell the petrol at a price thrice what they bought it. When the price of petrol was lowered, they found it difficult to bring the prices down,LACK OF LOVE!When some Nigerians were on the streets fighting for the rights of all Nigerians, some were busy selling pure water at the rate of N10 per one, they had bags at home!!!The struggle was surprisingly  jeopardized by the NLC and TUC ,ANOTHER DISPLAY OF LACK OF LOVE!!!                                               @          Please tell me,should a senator earn what a medical doctor would earn in 365 years in a year???In the same country where a legislator is earning more than the US president, another worker is earning as low as N18,000 in a month. Does this portray love???If only we loved ourselves, workers will need not go on strike before the government pays them what they deserve, the president spends N3 million on his feeding everyday but over 100 million nigerians live on less than a dollar per day,DO YOU CALL THAT LOVE???The people rightly protested against inhuman decision to remove fuel subsidy, the FG unleashed soldiers to oppress them,A PEACEFUL PROTEST!!!NO LOVE!!!                                                                                                                                       @         There have been series of bombings in the country of recent and the development is as a result of lack of love in our country. Why on earth will some people find joy in the pains and sorrows of others???What on earth does any man think he stands to gain from killing another person???Why exactly have those in government kept saying they are in control while people are being killed? Is the FG truly helpless or just not concerned about the lives of Nigerians. Whatever the answers you give these questions,we still go back to that problem,NO LOVE!!!               _           In conclusion,in our bid to find a solution(lasting) to our infinite problems in this country, the simple solution might just be LOVE,let us learn to live in PEACE,UNITY AND HARMONY and all work towards a better NIGERIA, COME ON NIGERIANS...LOVE IS THAT MISSING THING WE MUST FIND!!!
