What Is Happening In Nigeria?
For days now the labour and the entire Nigerian people with exception of those considering tribal sentiments have started a struggle to force the FG to reverse the fuel subsidy removal policy. Despite the fact that the government has lost billions of naira everyday due to the labour strike but the FG seems to be proving very difficult. In my own view, the fuel subsidy removal policy is an attempt by the FG to inflict unnecessary suffering on the innocent masses. The FG's excuse is that they need more money to provide amenities for the people, the people are asking,"the senators and other public office holders, why are they earning so much?" The government responded by supposedly cutting their earnings by 25% but is that enough? How much is the minimum wage in the country? How many citizens are unemployed? The money the government has been earning, what have they done with it? Almost every Nigerian knows that some people have been looting the country's treasury continuously but what is the FG doing about that? Why make innocent Nigerians suffer in the government's resolution?
